Commuting & working hours

The companies hungarian site is based in Szigetszentmiklós. The Operational Excellence Manager is working on the usual basis starting from 8:00 until 16:30. This time slot also includes a 30 minute lunch break. Giving the production envrionment, they work on full-office basis, but in certain cases (if really needed), the company can be flexible to provide home office.


Scope

The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for leading the deployment of the companies Excellence Modell (EM). According to the defined global excellence strategy to unleash people capabilities, achieve step change in performance, drive innovation through increasing organization reliability and agility in the Hungarian site and leading the E2E Supply Chain and in the site according to phase progression. The position will work closely with the Global Operations Project Manager, supporting their work at a local level.


Key functions

·        Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of EM implementation and identify areas for improvement.

·        Budget Management: Manage the EM (Excellence Modell) budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support continuous improvement initiatives.

·        Continuous Improvement: Identify, prioritize, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant, focusing on process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency enhancement.

·        Training & Development: Design and implement training programs to educate employees on EM principles, tools, and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

·        Implementation & Oversight: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the EM framework, ensuring compliance with best practices and company standards.

·        Communication: Maintain effective communication between local and global management, as well as with other relevant stakeholders.

·        Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Lead problem-solving efforts and root cause analysis to address operational challenges and drive sustainable improvements.

·        Project Evaluation: Evaluate project performance against established metrics and goals, and develop plans for improving future projects

·        Cultural Change: Promote and instill a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.

·        Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of FEM processes, initiatives, and outcomes. Prepare and present regular reports on FEM progress, performance metrics, and improvement projects to senior management.


Expectations

·        Bachelor's degree (e.g., in engineering or project management)

·        5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operational environment, with a proven track record in leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives

·        4+ years in people management

·        IWS experience is must

·        Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

·        Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or Green Belt is a plus)

·        Familiarity with project management methodologies

·        Proficient in English and Hungarian is must

·        Strong analytical and organizational skills

·        Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
