FINANCE MANAGER
We are seeking an experienced, result driven Finance Manager for our multinational, market leader logistics service provider client (200+FTEs) in Budapest.
Location: Vecsés
The position is open due to a new organisational model that was introduced recently. The main aim of the role is to oversee all finance aspects (with a pronounced focus on accounting areas) of the Hungarian business, manage / develope a finance team of 3-4 FTEs, drive process development and ERP related development initiatives, reporting directly to the Country CFO.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing finance, accounting, controlling, treasury and taxation areas of the Hungarian entity
- Full responsibility for operational accounting: AP, AR, GL – in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS, fulfilling local accounting and statutory requirements
- Managing cash and drive timely collection of receivables
- Ensuring compliance with accounting, budgeting and forecasting processes defined by the headquarter
- Driving budget planning and forecasting processes
- Monthly management reporting
- Leading a local finance team of 3-4 FTEs, following up on performances and providing daily support where needed
- Ensuring tax (VAT, company tax) and regulatory compliance, handling tax issues in organisational and M&A projects, preparation of local tax balance sheets and tax returns
- Providing finance support in business target setting, KPI definition and product pricing
- Governing risk management strategies, implementing risk mitigation strategies and cost-reduction solutions where needed
- Proactively foster and support country initiatives and process development projects
- Supporting products and functions with regards to controlling, performance management and investment projects
Key requirements:
- University / college degree
- CA or CPA qualification, registered
- At least 5 years’ experience in end-to-end finance management (accounting, controlling, budgeting, management reporting, etc.) at multinational matrix organisations
- Strong experience in managing accounting functions (AP, AR, GL), solid understanding of Hungarian GAAP and IFRS as well
- Fluent English, verbal and written
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships with local and international stakeholders
