They are an internationnaly active automotive corporation from Germany, which has production and sales locations in more than 20 different countries including United States, Mexico, Germany, France, Hungary, India, Czech Republic, China and Romania. The core product fields in the automotive sector include acoustics, actuating elements and polymer systems. The company develops and produces components, which improve the acoustic comfort and safety of automobiles. At the same time they contribute to a reduction of the environmental impact through a lowering of sound influences, and they also decrease the consumption.
Scope
Responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability policies and procedures. Ensure that proposed actions are socially and environmentally sustainable and compliant with internationally recognized best practices. Define the ESG strategy; work on implementing and reporting on the ESG strategy. Ensure the measuring of the sustainability and societal impact of an investment, professional operation, government program, or environmental initiative before such actions go into effect for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG): Follow the organization's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
- Sustainablity: Follow the organization's sustainability policies and procedures in order to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of unsustainable, adherent behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
- Business Requirements Identification: Collect business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
- Regulatory and Comliance Management: Investigate all kinds of incidents and reports and provide expert advice to more senior colleagues. Minimize risk exposures and ensure adherence with regulatory standards by working with all internal functions to make sure compliance programs are properly implemented. Collaborate internally and work as the customer champion in cross-functional teams to build strong understanding of regulation and registration requirements.
- External & Internal Communications: Execute a communications plan with established systmes and procedures. Execute a communications plan within established internal communication systems and procedures.
- Leadership and Directon: Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan and to the broader organization's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
- Budgeting & Performance Management: Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization. Develop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization's performance management systems to improve personal performance.
Expectations
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in Environmental Science/Engineering, Economics, Finance or a similar discipline
- 6+ years of eypereince in ESG Managerial roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Experience in BIG 4 Consulting firms is an advantage
- Experience of supervising other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes
