HEAD OF SALES - Hungary
We are seeking an experienced, result oriented Head of Sales on behalf of our multinational, market leader logistics service provider client.
Location: Pest County
The primary purpose of the position is to plan and coordinate all marketing and sales activities of the company's Hungarian business (around 8 billion HUF annual turnover at the moment), with putting a very strong focus on new business development and client base diversification.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead National Sales and Pricing Teams to grow profit and volumes. Focus on Airfreight, Seafreight, CLC, and Roadfreight.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and expand the customer base
- Prepare and manage sales budgets and forecasts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention
- Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals
- Monitor sales and servicing metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management
- Actively pursue leads, negotiate contracts, and close sales to achieve revenue targets
- Establish, communicate & implement sales targets and sales plans for the Country in line with budge, manage the commercial team and exceed the sale objectives of growth, profitability, and productivity
- Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities
- Improve company’s competitive position in the local market, acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing)
- Ensure that the organization complies with contractual obligations as well as compliance to all local and international regulations
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of sales experience within the logistics service provider segment, along with 3+ years' specific experience in selling sea transportation solutions
- Minimum 5 years' experience in managing commercial / sales teams
- Business fluent in English
- Proven experience in managing relationships with key international clients
- Knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budget processes
- Excellent organization and leadership skills
- Customer focused with proactive attitude
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
